Turn right and investigate Whitby’s East Pier and enjoy an adventure exploring the cliffs towards Saltwick Bay fossil hunting as you go. Directly below is Tate Hill Sands where legend would have us believe Dracula jumped ashore as a dog running through the streets and up the 199 steps to the moors. Watch the seals swim in the harbour beyond in the misty early morning.
Wonderful cafés and coffee shops such as Sanders Yard and famous eateries such as Magpie’s Fish Restaurant are an easy walk away.
